Quick Restore support — every question, answered
Licensing, billing, installation, and how Quick Restore actually behaves in real situations — the full list, in one place.
How many WordPress sites can I use my license on?
Free, Pro and Pro Plus each cover one WordPress installation. Max covers up to five installations under a single license. A "site" means one production domain — a staging copy or localhost install of that same site never counts against your limit.
What happens if I move my site to a new domain, or change hosts?
Nothing about your license changes. Deactivate the plugin on the old domain (or just let the old install go inactive) and activate it on the new one — this frees the slot immediately and does not count as using up an extra activation. You are never penalized for legitimate moves.
Can I use one Pro license on two different client sites at once?
No — Pro, Pro Plus and Lite each cover one site active at a time. If you manage more than one site, Max (5 sites) is built for exactly that, or you can purchase a separate Pro license per site.
Do staging or localhost copies of my site use up an activation?
No. Domains containing localhost, .local, .test, .staging, or common staging-host patterns are automatically recognised and never counted against your activation limit.
Can I transfer my license to a client or a different person?
The license key itself is tied to the purchasing account, but the activation can move between domains freely as described above. If you are handing a site off permanently (for example, a freelancer completing a project for a client), contact support with the order details and we can discuss reassigning the license.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payments are processed securely through Razorpay, supporting credit and debit cards, UPI, and net banking depending on your bank. See our Payment Policy for full details.
Do you charge GST?
Yes, 18% GST is added at checkout for billing addresses in India, and a GST invoice is generated automatically for every such order. Buyers billing outside India are not charged GST.
Is Quick Restore a subscription?
No. Pro, Pro Plus and Max are one-time payments. You receive 12 months of updates and priority support from the date of purchase, and the plugin keeps working after that whether or not you renew.
Can I get a refund?
No — all sales are final, since the plugin and license key are delivered instantly upon purchase. We strongly encourage testing the free version on your site first. If a paid tier has a genuine defect, contact support and we will work to fix it.
Can I get an invoice for my purchase?
Yes, a GST-compliant invoice is generated automatically and emailed with your order confirmation. If you need it resent, contact support with your order number.
What WordPress and PHP versions do I need?
WordPress 6.0 or later, and PHP 7.4 or later (tested through PHP 8.3). Quick Restore is built to work on ordinary shared hosting, not just high-end managed hosting.
Will Quick Restore work with my page builder or theme?
Yes. Backup and restore operate at the file and database level, independent of which page builder or theme you use, so there is nothing page-builder-specific to configure.
Does it work on WooCommerce stores?
Yes — your product catalog, orders, and customer data are all part of the database backup like any other content. For active stores, Pro Plus's scheduled backups are worth considering given how often order data changes.
Do I need to remove another backup plugin before installing Quick Restore?
It is not strictly required, but running two backup plugins simultaneously can double your resource usage and occasionally cause conflicts around scheduled tasks. We recommend deactivating other backup plugins once you have confirmed Quick Restore is working for you.
How large can my backup be on the free version?
The free version supports full-site backup and restore for sites up to 512 MB. Sites larger than that need Pro, which removes the size limit entirely.
Can I schedule automatic backups?
Yes, from Pro Plus — daily, weekly, or a custom interval, with an automatic backup also triggered before any plugin, theme, or core update.
Can I store backups in Google Drive?
Yes, from Pro Plus, backups can be pushed automatically to Google Drive or another supported cloud destination in addition to being kept on your server.
What exactly is included in a Quick Restore backup?
Your full database, the entire wp-content/uploads directory, all installed plugins, and your active theme (with an option to include inactive themes too) — packed into a single .wpqr file.
How do I migrate my site to a new domain?
Take a backup on the old domain, then restore that same backup on the new installation. Quick Restore automatically rewrites stored URLs — including inside serialized page-builder and widget data — so the site works correctly on its new address.
Can I restore a backup on a completely different server or host?
Yes, that is exactly what the migration flow is for. Upload the .wpqr file on the new server's WordPress install and restore as normal.
My restore failed partway through — what do I do?
Quick Restore validates every file before touching your live site, and the restore process is staged rather than all-or-nothing, so a failed restore does not leave your site in a corrupted state or destroy the backup you were trying to use. Check the error message shown, resolve the underlying issue (commonly a PHP memory or execution time limit on the host), and retry — your original backup file is untouched and safe to use again.
The backup file is too large to upload through my host's upload limit — what do I do?
Quick Restore uploads in chunks specifically to work around small PHP upload limits, so this should rarely be an issue. If it persists, check with your host about raising the max upload size and max execution time settings, which some budget hosts set unusually low.
Does Quick Restore work on hosts with low memory limits?
Yes — backups are streamed to disk rather than loaded fully into memory, which is specifically designed to work within the tighter memory limits common on shared hosting.
Do you have access to my backups?
No. Quick Restore does not transmit your backups, site content, or database to PolyBright's servers under any circumstance. Backups stay on your own hosting, and on Pro Plus/Max, optionally in a cloud storage account you personally control.
What data is sent to your servers at all?
Only a small, periodic license check: your license key, your site's domain, and the plugin version — used solely to confirm your license is valid and check for available updates.
How do I upgrade from Pro to Pro Plus or Max?
Purchase the higher tier on the store, then paste the new license key into Settings → Quick Restore → License on the same install, replacing your old key. Your existing key is upgraded in place — no reinstall, no lost settings, and features unlock as soon as the new key validates.
What happens when my 12 months of updates end?
Nothing stops working. The plugin continues running exactly as it did, on its last installed version. You simply stop receiving new updates and priority support until you choose to renew.
