Before you write
License shows “invalid”? Check the key was pasted without spaces, and that the domain is not already using all its activations (free one from My Account → Licenses).
Not receiving updates? Updates require an active license on that domain. Deactivate and reactivate the key on the site.
Want to move a license to a new site? Deactivate the old domain in My Account, then activate on the new one.
